OFFICE REQUIREMENTS
Our ambulatory sedation services offer dental professionals the opportunity to decrease patient referrals and treat patients at their own practice. You can practice dentistry and focus on your dental procedures without the worries associated with dental anesthetic management. We handle everything from billing to carrying necessary equipment, to help your office work seamlessly with ours. Our practice meets all state requirements concerning office based anesthesia.
EQUIPMENT
As anesthesia providers, we carry all of the equipment necessary to provide any level of sedation for your patients. We are specially trained to work within the confines of dental offices, with dental considerations in mind. We’ve established advanced dental anesthesia techniques to avoid complications.
BLS CERTIFICATION
The treating dental provider does not need to have or maintain a sedation permit. Besides the dentist-anesthesiologist, only two other staff members must be BLS certified for in-office deep sedation - general anesthesia cases.
OFFICE VISIT
We can arrange for a visit to your dental office to ensure we can safely provide anesthesia prior to the appointment. We only require a small amount of space for our equipment and make every effort to stay out of your normal work setup.
SCHEDULING
We offer flexible scheduling. Our doctors are available for early morning, evening, and weekend appointments. An appointment is always required and we do our best to accommodate on short notice. Once you decide to schedule a case, our office will obtain medical clearance from the patient’s primary care physician. The treating dentist-anesthesiologist will take a thorough medical history by personally contacting the patient. We cover all pre-operative preparation and will advise the patient on all anesthesia related instructions and any necessary tests prior to their appointment. Your office should only focus on what they do best, dentistry.
